Learn Sara’s mixed media graphite and pastel drawing technique and dive into the development of conceptual themes and visual storytelling.

In this 5-day workshop, students will learn Sara’s unique graphite and panpastel mixed media drawing technique as well as key considerations for developing conceptual narratives and visual storytelling. Focusing on a small vignette of the figure, students can expect to walk away with a full overview from the initial line drawing to completed details in the skin, eyes, and hair.

The class kicks off with an instructional Zoom session one week prior to the in-person workshop. Sara will be available to answer questions, review students’ practice work, and provide helpful feedback during that week. This allows ample time for individuals to begin exploring the foundational steps in the technique so they may dive into the workshop drawing on the first day of class, already prepared with new tools under their belt!
